Will update again.Įdit: After some testing it seems it is our Vipre (Anti-virus) add-on that seems to be slowing it down. Will update if that seems to fix it, if it does I will see what might be causing it starting with add-ons. Have 2 other users test too to see if it works for them. Seems fine so far after a day and a half testing. Currently testing Outlook while it is in Safe Mode. Has anyone been experiencing this or know where to look to speed up the desktop app?Įdit: Quick update. Today I am going to test the web app vs phone app vs desktop app and see which is actually usable for my users. I've had multiple people tell me they would rather work off their phones than use the app since it is that much slower. These slow episodes eventually go away after awhile, but you get a random 30-1 min slow down every so often.īeen going on for awhile (read month or two) and it feels like it is getting worse. Leaving the app open also doesn't help, tried to leave it open for 20 minutes doing nothing to it and still super slow when I came back. Closing and reopening Outlook app does cause it to speed up (it is initially slow at startup then speeds up). Trying to switch emails right after it opens almost always causes it to lag for a good 5 minutes to the point it is better to just close and reopen. The first email of the day usually takes 30-1 minute to open, and then switching between is usually 30 seconds. Outlooks (Outlook desktop app with Office 365 license) lately has been very slow.
